In my UX design journey, I skillfully utilized a diverse set of tools and methodologies. Mockups and Procreate enabled me to create aesthetically appealing and user-friendly wireframes, while Figma facilitated the visualization of design concepts. To gain a competitive edge, I conducted thorough competitive analysis, empowering me to identify areas for improvement and innovative solutions. Leveraging card sorting techniques, I fine-tuned information architecture for optimal user navigation. Additionally, I harnessed the power of Zoom for testing, conducting remote user sessions to gather valuable insights and enhance the user experience.

Competitive Audit for User Expectations: To further understand user expectations, a competitive audit was performed. This involved analyzing the features and experiences offered by competing products or companies. By comparing and contrasting with other existing solutions in the market, areas of improvement for the product under development could be identified. This information played a crucial role in ensuring that the final product would be competitive and meet or exceed user expectations.

User Testing and Iteration: The wireframes underwent user testing to assess their effectiveness in meeting the users' needs and expectations. This testing phase involved gathering feedback directly from users. Based on the feedback received, iterative improvements were made to the wireframes, aiming to refine the designs and ensure they were better aligned with user requirements.

As someone with prior experiences in front-end development, designing was a fun experience, but it made me realize the importance of content placement, especially for larger screens. During testing, I discovered that some users ignored the login/sign-up page on our website, leading us to make it optional. This approach improved user engagement and satisfaction, allowing them to explore the platform freely before creating an account. Prioritizing user-centricity helped us strike a balance that retained users and offered a personalized experience. This learning will guide future design decisions to adapt to users' evolving needs.
